About Us

WHO WE ARE

We are a group of young men and women on a mission to bring about a revolution called 'Nandanvan Gaudham'. We vow to devote every breath to restoring Mata's pride as "the mother" of humanity, and we will not rest.

If we have to describe our mission in one statement, it would be:

"Let's Bring Her Back"

Let's bring Gau Mata back to our hearts and our lives. The place Gau Mata held in our lives was more than that of a family member. She was regarded as a mother who nurtured and nourished her sons and daughters with Milk, protected them from diseases with her Gau Mutra (Cow urine), and made the land fertile to grow grains with her Gobara (cow dung). We have almost lost her and our deep values in these years after independence. Our beloved mother is now forgotten and forced out of the house, left to feed at garbage bins. The time has come to bring her back and to display respect for her as a nation by declaring her 'Rashtra Mata', which she has always been.

THE INSPIRATION

We were living peacefully in our families, busy with day-to-day family chores. But there is a meaning to everyone's life, and we thought that was missing in ours. Then, destiny took us to a saint from the Himalayas, Pujya Shri Gopal Maniji Maharaj, speaking with a thunderous voice about the greatness of Gau Mata.

The place Gau Mata held in our lives was more than that of a family member. She was regarded as a mother who nurtured and nourished her sons and daughters with Milk, protected them from diseases with her Gau Mutra, and made the land fertile to grow grains with her Gobara. Her Oxen ploughing the fields was integral to day-to-day chores like transportation and irrigation. The first roti in every household was meant for her and was called 'Gau Grass'. Each ceremony was considered complete with her, from the naming ceremony to the marriage ceremony or last rites. She was always referred to as Gau Dhan.

We have almost lost her, and with that, our deep values in these years after independence. The struggle began with her when one of her true sons refused to put in his mouth the cartridges laced with her flesh. Our beloved mother is now forgotten and forced out of the house, left to feed herself at garbage bins. Our country is mercilessly slaughtering her to become the largest beef exporter in the world.

The words of the great saint Pujya Shri Gopal Maniji Maharaj moved us. He challenged the youth of this country to rise and bring her back to her proper place, which is our hearts. His Dhenu Manas Grantha and Gau Katha deeply imbibed the love for Gau Mata in our hearts, and we started Gau Seva visiting Gaushala.

Doing Gau Seva...

By doing Gau Seva, we can feel that Gau Mata's greatness is the greatness of her virtues. Her Milk is nectar, her Gau Mutra is Sanjivani, and her Gobara is a blessing. Love and compassion flow in her eyes. She fills you with positivity when you put your head on her back. The peace that you feel when she is in peace and happiness.

We could understand why Rig-Veda called her Aghanya (never to be killed), and Yajurveda called her Incomparable to anything in this universe ('Gostu Matra Na Vidhyate'). We could understand why the supreme lord had to take birth as Rama and Krishna to take up her cause on this earth. We could understand why cow slaughter was banned even during Muslim rule, and the first slaughterhouse in this country was built only in 1760 by Britishers. We could understand why Mahatma Gandhi wanted the first action of the free Indian government to be a total ban on cow slaughter.

Finally, we understood the mission of the saint whose voice gave us the meaning of our lives: Gau Mata should indeed be Rashtra Mata. We began thinking and researching the ways we could contribute to this great cause of bringing back the glory of our beloved Gau Mata.
